Thermometers and Rain GaugesWe have a great selection of thermometers and rain gauges for your garden or home. From cast iron wall hanging thermometers to 12cm rain gauges, Garden Ornaments and Accessories have it all. Please ensure thermometers will be placed where they will not receive direct heat from sun or reflected from wall, pavement or other surfaces (in the shade). If mounted on wall, it should not be a heated wall or over a window or opening which leads from a heated building. If the above instructions are followed your thermometer will indicate the temperature accurately to plus or minus 2 Fahrenheit. Readings from thermometers may vary widely because of the effects of the sun even on cloudy days. At night, especially still clear winter nights, air temperatures may vary 10 to 15 degrees. Your thermometer will only measure the temperature at the point where it is mounted. |
